Saint Mary's School family is proud to be celebrating 150 years of
excellence. The strength of our school and the dedication of people who
remain faithful is overwhelming. The school has stayed open through The
Civil War, two World Wars, and many other conflicts that have tested
faith and humanity. Through the years technology has grown
exponentially. The students of Saint Mary's have gone from a one room
school using pen and ink to a large facility where students can watch
NASA launch astronauts to a space station on televisions. The world has
change dramatically in the last 150 years and Saint Mary's has changed
with it. One key to that success is the never changing Catholic faith and
values that our school offers.
Our past success was not without challenge. Our future success will also
come with challenges. Saint Mary's has continued to meet the needs of
parents by staying in touch with the community. Almost thirty years ago,
Saint Mary's opened an all day Kindergarten. Although it was unheard of
then, it is commonplace now. Working together, we figure out the
current needs and find a way to satisfy them for the benefit of our
children and school.
